OK, this is where people can cough it up and admit if they use emulators to play certain Sonic games which is PIRACY!! (unless you own the games on their respective consoles- did I even need to point that out?!). Most of us here are too obsessively wrapped up with competition to give a s*** about the law but I was just curious to see who sits behind the computer to play their Sonic games and what games they play. I admittedly play Sonic CD on Gens (but I might get SGC PS2 sometime if I can be arsed to spend $15 on a compilation that only includes 1 game that isn't classified under 'trash').

OP is obnoxious and doesn't understand copyright law nor the archival clause.  Also, Emulator use doesn't directly constitute piracy, for example to use an Emulator to play a retail copy of SCD.

Not only this, but you know Virtual Console, XBLA/PSN re-releases, and all those Mega Drive collections? Those are all emulators.

I usually play Sonic games that I don't have (usually handheld games, such as the Advance series) on emulator. If I had the game though, and I had a choice between console and emulator, I'd play on console (with exception). :P

I agree with you in relation to the Sonic Advance series on GBA, because I play too.

He can because the fact that this avatar and the last one he had are both so wide that they get cut off but he refuses to rescale them or pick something smaller is hilarious.

On topic... what is the purpose of this topic? The first few lines amount to "admit if you're pirating but I don't really care if you're pirating", and as Gerbil said, most Sonic re-releases we have been getting are emulations with no piracy involved (of the Genesis and Sega CD Sonic re-releases, only Sonic Jam, Sonic & Knuckles Collection, and Sonic CD for PC and Gems are not emulations, and Sonic 3D Blast for PC and Saturn is a remake). Topic needs purpose badly.
